The International Organization for Mycoplasmology

The International Organization for Mycoplasmology (IOM) was founded in 1976 as a nonprofit organization and exists to promote the cooperative international study of Mollicutes (mycoplasmas, phytoplasmas, spiroplasmas, ureaplasmas, mesoplasmas, entomoplasmas and acholeplasmas) and the diseases they cause, and to disseminate knowledge about their characteristics, effects, transmission, and control.
